What's All This Then?
Formed during the first Lockdown, Decent Drop was born from the simple idea of pairing wine wine with cheese and sending out tasting kits across the UK and bringing everyone together with fantastic online events! Whilst we originally created lockdown-friendly kits of wine & cheese pairings, posting them to do your door for online events...the Decent Drop offer has since evolved.
Decent Drop is now a fun, engaging and informative wine consultancy. Our mission is to support pubs. restaurants and bars across the UK with the tools required to upsell their wine offer and arm their teams with all the skills and wine knowledge required to wow their guests.
Our experience with pairing wine is now being put to some fine use and we are still dead set on making the enjoyment of wine accessible for everybody!
We do also perform our legendary tasting events in real life or on virtual online tastings. They're perfect for team building sessions and client engagement or networking events. Just pick your menu and we'll do the rest!

Who Are We?
Decent Drop was formed by Carl who was advised by his wife to 'get off your ar$£ and do something useful', during the Lockdown, after a planned bar opening was scuppered by the pandemic.
To bring Decent Drop to life, Carl roped in local wine expert Ian Howard to lead proceedings and off they set, on a voyage of wine and cheese discovery. Since May 2020, we have hosted over 400 wine and cheese parties both with our lockdown Saturday night get-togethers online, our in person wine and cheese parties and also with our many corporate clients.
Decent Drop is the sister company of two fantastic other business: Alibi Cocktail & Karaoke Bar in Altrincham and Alibi Mobile Event Bars.

Decent Drop has evolved! We now take great pride in bringing our unique brand of wine passion to restaurants, pubs and bars across the UK, educating hospitality folk on the wines they sell in their venues.
Knowledge is power, and we believe that a few nuggets of information can offer the guest a maximised experience (better wine choices!), improving turnover and profitability for the operator.
How does it work? Well, we swoosh in with our fabulous team training sessions, coaching all things wine and hospitality hosting from our (too) many years in the game.
Perfect for multi-venue groups who want consistent product training across their business portfolio, or even for solo operators looking for additional tools to arm their team with in upselling wine and improving the guest experience.
